About our school
IM Samui Kite School Koh Samui is a school built out of passion – for passion.
We’ve been operating for over 8 years, while our founders have more than 25 years of experience in watersports — from kitesurfing and windsurfing to surf and e-foil.
We offer a full range of courses for all levels – from your very first ride to advanced freestyle training with professional riders.
Our instructors are passionate, motivated and internationally certified to teach kitesurfing, wingfoil, and e-foil, combining deep expertise with an individual approach to every student.
All lessons follow International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) standards, ensuring maximum safety, structure, and progress at every stage.
At IM Samui Watersport Center, we’ve always believed that quality comes from people — that’s why we carefully select our instructors, hold regular internal trainings, and continuously share knowledge to raise the bar higher.
You can train with us safely and effectively on all main beaches of Koh Samui, enjoying stable wind conditions and top-quality equipment.

Our main base, Mahalo Watersport Center, is located on the tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand — one of Asia’s most beautiful and diverse watersport destinations.
The school is designed for ocean lovers who value quality, safety, and comfort, offering everything you need for the perfect day on (and off) the water.
You’ll find on-site facilities including:
showers and changing areas, a beach bar and restaurant, a surf & gear shop, and chillout zones surrounded by palms and turquoise water.
Everything is designed to create a professional yet relaxed vibe — the real spirit of island life. 🌴

Kitesurfing Locations – Perfect Conditions All Year Round
We operate our kitesurfing lessons in two main locations, depending on the season:
📍 Hua Thanon (South-East Coast) – November to April
Just 10 minutes from Lamai, this is one of the best kitesurfing spots on the island, known for stable wind, shallow flat water, sandy bottom and wide open space – ideal for beginners and freestyle riders alike.
📍 Nathon (West Coast) – June to September
Located right next to the ferry pier, this spot is perfect during the summer monsoon season, offering consistent side-onshore wind, easy access and beautiful views of Ang Thong National Park.
For advanced riders, there’s an option to head out behind the reef and ride the waves in open water. 🌊

E-Foil Experiences – Two Spots, Two Seasons, Double the Fun
Our E-Foil sessions take place in two different parts of the island, allowing you to enjoy the best conditions year-round:
📍 Chaweng Beach (East Coast) – April to December
Located in the heart of the island, this spot offers crystal-clear water and calm mornings, perfect for your first e-foil ride or smooth cruising along the bay.
📍 Lipa Noi (West Coast) – December to April
Here, the water is flat, warm, and protected from the wind — ideal for sunset e-foil sessions 🌅. It’s an unforgettable experience to glide across the ocean as the sky turns gold and pink over the horizon.
